Just sitting here watching Rodger Waters "In the flesh-Live" DVD which if you were ever a Pink Floyd fan I highly recomend...I'm wondering whatever happened to the rest of the band, anyone following them or are they pooched?
You know what TC...I have but I either did it wrong or don't get it. Can you refesh me on how to do that. Who knows one day I might smoke a big fatty and try again ;D
Of course maybe the FBI will read this tread, lock on to my IP, figure out where I live and come help me find the damned thing...By that time it will be too late cos I will have to use the rifle I'm holding in the Boyle thread...Ha ha!!!!
It sure is...I figure by the time I've dealt with the FBI, I'll have no choice but to fly to Spiders house and make the bastards pu him back on high speed, by then I'll be a fugitive and pooched.....ah there you are my little freind....I found it and must now make it go away so none of this becomes a reality....Third roar eh!
They put out a couple of lukewarm albums (with a few really good songs) with David Gilmore at helm, did a handful of massive tours, did their final album The Division Bell , toured one more time then called it quits. Although they did leave one last bit o strangeness, the so called Publius Enigma.
The real question is what ever happened to Syd Barrett. Sure, you could simplify and say he went nuts and lived with his mom in anonymity, but where is he now...on the inside. His nephew says hes rather happy, and still likes to make art, but will not discuss Pink Floyd at all, even says doesnt see himself at all as related to the group, doesnt view himself in the light of rock icon or any such thing. Apparently couldnt give less of a rip. Probably a very interesting man.
Wow...That's news to me I always thought sid was dead! guess I'll have to go back to floyd fan school. So Pink Floyd has retired is that what you're sayin?
That aint what Im saying, but it is what Dave is saying. Yeah, Syd is still very much alive, though in bad health...serious diabetes at the least. He lives in Cambridge, and is often seen walking around, but youd never recogognize him as a rockstar type of fellow in the photos I've seen.
I never figured they'd make it far without the engine (Roger Waters) too bad it had to go that way. As I said, I'm watching the "In the Flesh Live" DVD.....Still. This DVD is a must see for die hard Floyd fans, it would be waters answer to pink floyd's "Delicate sound of thunder" flic. There is material from waters albums "amused to death" and "Hitchhikers guide..." but the rest is pure Floyed. The guitarists Doyle Bramhall, Snowy White and Andy fairweather Low are reason enough to watch.
