Hi,

If you saw this Vichy commercial (especially on HD TV) you shoud know what im talking about.

I mean this model (not the water effect). This model looks so perfect. The skin tones are ideal. Light is perfect etc.

Do you know what kid equipment they used to make that footage?

What is more important, high class model of camera, very expensive lighting or many hours of postproducton?

It is possible to get those quality on Sony EX1? Or this is reserved only for top class cameras?

D.

Airbrushing, plus VERY large light sources and lit VERY flat.

Yes, you need a good camera, but the EX1 is good enough.

[EDIT]

Looks to me like semi-hard sources at 10 & 2 o'clock positions, a light below the chin (looks like a Kino Diva or something similar), and a traditional softbox right at over the camera position.

they probably had triangulating cameras setup for motion capture and fully-renedered the model, much like Avatar or possibly benjamin button. that would explain the perfect skin-tones.

or they just got a professional model and some soft lighting.

Or very good make up team. If you look close you can see that her eyelight looks like a very large soft box shooting from just above the camera. So they used a large soft frontal light.
