What Else Do I Need?

This is what I will be renting ..(once I learn more about the DVX and its functions and accesories) Hopefully I will by June or July so I can start to shoot my first short film.

Anyway this is what the rental place has.. is this good? do I need it? what else do I need?

DVX100A package with tripod, fastplate, 2 stage 4x4 matte box, filters, .8 wide angle converter, Sony 8" monitor, batteries. A glide cam.. what is a glide cam?

Audio package is a PSC 4-input mixer with a Sennheiser 415, 16 ft pole, cables, Sony wireless, etc. They also have a lighting packages, not sure what kind, but lots of them.

The Filters include ... Polarizer, 1/8 black warm pro mist, 1/4 black pro mist, .6 ND grad, tobacco, and a skyfire.

This is what they said about these filters which I don't get....

"Most of the filters we have are actually for the 4 x 5.6 ratio for our bigger matte boxes but the ones I've named are 4x4

"The matte box packaged with the 100A is a two-stage with one rotating from Cavision"

So what does this mean.. these filters are no good with that kind of matte box?

And was does follow focus from Chrosziel do?

In advance I thank you very much for all your advice and sorry for these newbie questions.

Once I figure these things out I will be ready to move forward. Right now I'm stuck figuring out all these extra stuff for the camera.

A glide cam.. what is a glide cam?

ITS JUST LIKE A STEADICAM BUT MADE BY GLIDECAM (You do know what a Steadicam is? Just think ER style shooting; camera floating all over the place.)

2 Stage = 2 Filters at once with one rotating (ie. polarizer or grad; gives you a little more control over where you filter effect falls)

So what does this mean.. these filters are no good with that kind of matte box?

I think he was just saying that most of their stock is one size but the ones he listed for you are the 4 by 4.

And was does follow focus from Chrosziel do?

Allows you to dial in Focus Points (Rack Focus). Repeatable.
