I am doing some research regarding codec's and editing systems for a possible secret agent side of DVXuser....

Please help by submitting to the poll.

Cheers and thanks.

I bought my first editing application this week and it is Vegas 6.

Stuff I shoot is always cut by someone else. This began to really irk me recently, so after much trolling and lurking and research, I've settled on Vegas for its reknown interface, resolution-independent programming and the fact that they basically built-in 24p for Panasonic between releases 5 and 6.

I think this fact bodes well for our future DVCPro HD / 50 / 25 needs. Even knowing that Sony is a HDCam / HDV house, I think they'll respond to support what promises to be a major upcoming format.

It's had 24p since version 4.

FCP.... I'm still on 4, but am planning to upgrade when I go an HD camera.

The studio is a very complete package.

No worries. I would have selected Final Cut Pro, if I could afford it.

Every software manufacturer out there should take a look at Vegas not just for its functionality, but for the clean and intuitive user interface.

Literally, I was up and running within half-hour. Every other editing software I have tried gave me a headache.

I use Premiere Pro 1.5, and love it. I have also used Vegas extensively, but Premiere just fit my needs better.
