What does your battery indicator say

My new 100B battery fully charged says 63 min. While shooting it runs down to 0 min and resets runs down again and resets. Is that, normal?

hmmm, I'm confused. Can you elaborate.

The battery indicator doesnt tell you how much time is left. It's a little tiny thing that resembles a battery with bars in it that disappear.

It sounds like your tape indicator. Tapes are 63 minutes.

hahaha

Your DVX wouldn't happen to be making a clunking sound when turned off is it?! That means it's destroyed and sucks batteries down super fast.

Heh heh... It's funny how every time I change tapes my battery indicator level goes back up to 63. :)

Sorry, HunterG... couldn't resist. :)

There's a small dynamo in the tape transport. As the tape passes over the pickup, the magnetism is turned into electricity, recharging the battery.

I'm surprised Panasonic got away with using it, since The Government usually suppresses that sort of apparatus.
