What does it cost to buy rights to distribute a main stream movie?

[Derrick_SA]

Hi there, CRAZY question time, if I may please.

Let's say you open a new movie theater, and install the certified digital film projectors, etc... the major studios require you to have, and that criteria is met.

What does it cost to buy rights to distribute a main stream movie? Or should I say what will you have to pay to show a movie at your new movie theater?

or how does it work?

thanks,
Derrick
