DVX stands for DVB and DVD

Oh man now thats just horse Sh*t ! I mean thats mixing two different formats, one is Digital Video Broadcast (which comes in DVB-S, DVB-T, DVB-C, and the the mobille version I forgot the proper acronyms)

and DVD well you already know what the means, the only thing connecting those two formats is that they are based upon MPEG2 technology (only for the SD broadcasts, for HD which is DVB2 I think uses MPEG4), even then its packaged totally differently (but I know of hacks to rip the stream and repakage it without any re-encoding that allows you to play them back into any DVD player* thats another story).
