What does a lav mic supplied with a "pigtail" look like?!?

Countryman sell their lav mics in a "pigtail" configuration. What exactly is this config? Will the mic come with a few meters of cable attached to the mic and bare ends at the end of the cable ready for wiring into an XLR connector? Or will the mic literally have just a centimeter or so of wire sprouting out the back of the mic?!?

it has 1,5 meters of wire with out connector , every countryman lavalieer could come with almost every connector match any transmitter or with 48p to bias converyter , and it preitty cheap

Great, thanks. So, if I bought a Countryman EMW pigtail mic then I could just solder the end of the EMW's cable into an XLR connector and I'd be ready to use that mic with my DVX100 (with 48v phantom-power output)?? Or would I also need to connect the mic to a 48v phantom power converter??

Many thanks,
Jack

you cant , the the power suply xlr contain electronics which convert 48 to low voltage
if you will connect it directy you can say hello to your mic =
sorry dont you read the posts - i told you it in the past
buy phantom power version of the emw - about 30$ more

ok, thanks - I'll get the XLR version. You have indeed said that I should get an XLR version of the mic but I just wanted to check if I could save a few quid by buying a pigtail version and soldering my own XLR connector. I've been reading all your posts - you're a fountain of high quality knowledge, I'd be an idiot not to read your posts.

Thanks for all your help.
Jack
