What do you think?????

Today I met this kid at my High School that is only 15 and has wrote his first feature film and is planning on shooting his feature this summer with the DVX. He let me read parts of his screenplay and it's amazing do you think he can make his film successfully???

im sure he can make it, but we would have to see a finish product to see if it will be more than a kid and his camera

I think it mostly depend on the commitment of him and his crew. I remembered when I was in high school it was extremely tough just to get enough people to put in their time for a short film. For a feature it's going to be even harder to convince people to stick with him for the entire summer. Unfoturnately I've seen way too many great scripts wasted because the cast and crew just couldn't put up the time.

no. He may be talented but shooting a good feature is rediculously difficult for anyone, let alone a 15yo. However if his stuff is good, dont let him get away :) See if the two of you can get a short in the works and shoot that. If nothing else it will be REALLY good practice for shooting the feature this summer.

Wow, sounds ambitious. I'd go with the advice on shooting a short first. If he hasn't done any film stuff before its best to get as much practice as possible. And i'm gonna have to write me a feature!
