What do you think?

I wanted to buy the Oktava Mk-12 but heard it's very sensitive. I was considering the AKG Blue Line Series Microphone Kit that includes: SE300B Power Module and CK93 Hypercardioid Capsule. What do you think?

If your budget allows for the AKG, a shockmount, and wind protection, then go with that over the Oktava and acessories.

Both mics have exactly the same sensitivity: 10mV/Pa, so you will not "win" anything on that front...

I can't comment on the Oktava as I don't own one but decided on the AKG CK93 out of concern for the much-discussed Oktava handling noise issue.

I couldn't be happier with the AKG.

There are 2 PSA-style videos that were recorded with the CK93. As it was a small-ish room with parallel walls, there's a little more room reverb that I'd ideally prefer but in context--with music--it's barely noticable.

All in all... great mic.
