Have at it. Not sure if this will even fly, but I have no creativity in me on this.

Think it shows what selling $150 sterling silver collar stays and $95 T-shirts can support.

It might help us to know what you're trying to do here. "Not sure if it will even fly" -- for what?

There have been 50 views so far and only my flip comment so obviously people are looking at it but are not motivated to comment. Give us a little help on what type of feedback you expect.

I don't think most posters here are inclined to post merely to "shred" someone. If you approached it a little more positively you might get some response.

Ok. Good point, I wasn't trying to be negative just a little funny.

The video is of Duncan Quinn the designer. I had the opportunity to shoot the Art Basel event in Miami so I am attempting to make an informational video about his 'Townhouse Experience'

The first cut I made was waaaay to long with him talking for 2:27.

I put a couple effects in it to try and make it more artsy, so any insight on the impression the videos gives you will be helpful.

Yeah, I probably should have seen the self-deprecating humor that was all in good fun. My comment about your being negative was off target. I need to lighten up. Sorry.

Anyway, your added details are really helpful. Was going to watch these again, but they're now both set up so you need a YouTube account to view.

hmmm, strange. It seems you can't share a private video unless you have a youtube account. I really don't wan't to let it go public until its complete.

If anyone can see the vids I'd appreciate some feedback.

I was going to do VO's but Duncan changed his schedule and couldn't do it. The audio is un-mastered but I have soundbooth.

Soundbooth has a pretty decent noise cleanup that is easy to use and may help get you some better audio off what you have. Also I would loose the effects you did with the frame hold because if I am going to hear him talking and see him..... I would want to see him talking. And lastly I would put some stock music under it and cut the broll along to the beet.

You wanted some feedback so I hope my comments help you. Good luck!

on camera mic?

i would also have some music in the background to try and make it sound a bit "fuller", it will also hide some of the hiss.

Soundbooth isn't too bad if you play about a bit. Try using the parametric equalizer.

For the beginning...what if you dissolved the old photo of him into the artsy freeze frame that you used when he's talking in the background - using the same size as the old photo when it's zoomed out. So instead of having him talk so long with the freeze frame, it's only up there for a second before you dissolve to full-motion (without the effect) as it scales to full screen?

The only other suggestion is if you have some other b-roll to cover the "foot traffic" shots, use that and cut the walking feet footage to about at least half of what you have. It's just not that interesting. Especially considering all the interesting visuals provided by the place.

Once you get the audio cleaned up and do some color correction I think it will be a nice piece. The caveat there is your sound won't be great, but you have to work with what you were able to get.

Yes, on camera. I was going to do VO's but you know these world famous designers with their schedule changes...hahaha

I'll give the Para a shot.

1. Still digesting - The video is only :58 Would you mind using timecode so I can understand a little better, thanks.
