What do these red bars mean???

I am working on a timeline and I have realized that my clips are part 1.2 and another part .09. Well, I want this project to be widescreen, so I have been re-rendering each individual clip to match a 1.2 project. When I check the PROPERTIES of the clip, AFTER I render it, sometimes in the bottom, underneath where it says, "Data Rate Analysis", the blue bars next to SAMPLE SIZE will have red bars as well. Prior the render, these bars are all blue. On these clips (where red is showing up in the blue Sample Size graph) I am getting some strange artifacts in the footage itself.

Please, does anybody have any insight into this?

This project is causing me to drink.

I assume you are talking about PAR - pixel aspect ratios

Easier way to fix them is to use the 'Interpret Footage Command' on all the problem clips. This will make the selected clips whatever PAR you want. (eg 1.2)

Do that and do not worry about the Data Rate Analysis ( if everything plays..you are sweet)

..to interpret the aspect ratio of the footage.. right click them in the project bin.. you can select them all at once and right clik.. then select .. interpert footage.

All right good people-

You guys rock. But I do have another question pertaining to this. If I have a clip with an .09 aspect ratio, and I pull it into a miscellaneous sequence to re-render it as 1.2, in the pixel aspect ratio field (of the clips PROPERTIES) it will say 1.2, on the new clip. However, if I reinterpret .09 footage to be 1.2, in the pixel aspect ratio field in the PROPERTIES of the clip, it will say .09 (1.2). Is this the same thing? Is this Premieres way of letting me know that it is really 1.2 now but it was interpreted from .09? I'm asking because I am having slight issues, with digital artifacting etc, and I am trying to get to the root of my problem.

Totally appreciate the responses.

Thanks!
Rick
