What do the BIG guys use to edit?

I've been using Premiere since the late 90s and also have FCP and Vegas, but that's because I'm a little guy and it's all I can afford. I've always been curious what the very large production houses and even Hollywood studios use.
Surely they don't just use a room of workstations with Final Cut or Adobe for big budget stuff, do they?
And After Effects for compositing?

Edius, Avid, FCPX too. Nuke, Fusion...
In the vfx industry node based workflows takes the crown.

Hollywood is now almost exclusively Avid for cutting and Pro Tools for audio. Beyond that, it's a bit more varied. Like alohype said, nodes rule when it comes to VFX with Nuke being the most common.

Sometimes. They didn't with "Lincoln," for example. But, you know, Spielberg can do what he wants, but he's just about the only guy in town with that luxury.
