What do I need?

[hYpnochronic]

In addition to the DVX100a I'm about to purchase, what other necessities do I need? I intend to get a few dvxuser.com batteries and a mic w/ xlr as well. Do I need things like UV filters etc??? I'm new to this and (as always) money is an issue.

Re: What do I need?

This solely depends on what types of things you'll be shooting.
Will you shoot events/commercials etc.????????

Perhaps you'll need a wireless mic for certain situations. If you're going to shoot longer format pieces, make sure you have plenty of battery power.

Give a little more info regarding types of shoots.

Thanks,

Good point.  That way advice can be focused on your needs.
