Hi guys I'm new to 35mm adapters and i wanted to go handheld with my footage so i'm not too sure what i would need to do that. I think i would need a shoulder piece and some sort of hand grips. But would i also need an external monitor since my face would be in the way of the camcorders lcd screen? and then if thats true do i need a weight on the back to counter balance the weight on the front....AND some sort of power to power the screen??? and what else would i possibly need.
I have a dvx100b and letus extreme.
Also does anyone know any good(but cheap) tripods that i can use? I have an old tripod thats pretty sturdy but the head sucks.any help would be great.
Thanks guys.

P.S - cheap is my middle name lol

I bought the rails from indifocus and the shoulder pad, bar and grip from redrock and had great results. If cheap is in your name try the indifocus setup. Good product great price.

Tripod wise, just get a bogen 503 hdv and some sticks. Good price and will last. If you go super cheap on the tripod you will regret it, trust me.

a canon

just joking guys,

Actually you can get away with just a monopod in a fanny pack with a cheap Bogen tilt head on it. Its heavy but it does work.
Biggest problem will be maintaing focus while moving around.
