What codec works with Premier 6?

Guys and Gals - :undecided

I have Adobe Premier 6.0. The problem is, my Canon elura60 captures in avi format. AP6 doesn't like that without a codec. I was successful on my other pc but now that I have a new one, i forget where to get it..

I'm not sure I quite understand your question. Is Premiere recognizing the camera? Will it not capture? There really shouldn't be a need to download codecs for basic AVI capturing.
 
It doesn't capture it now. Im missing a codec that would make it work.. I had the same problem on my old pc, downloaded a codec and it worked fine. Now on the new pc, i forgot to transfer the file.. so im trying to remember which one it was....
 
thats what id go with too, but premiere installs those basic codecs among others.. he shouldnt really have a codec issue.
is this a licensed copy of premiere?
 
ahhh.. System restore fixes the problem and now Im back to normal :engel017:

M3Jpecv3 is the codec that i needed. Now i can load avi's back in pefectly.. Thanks guys.. :laugh:
