i thought i saw some small cams in the shots, be it on purpose or accidentally in rachel getting married. was this shot on hd?what cams?

also,
what name movies recently were shot hd?
 
You reference size, so I'm wondering if you mean smaller prosumer cameras, or larger 35mm size HD cameras. If you mean the former than the list of big, mainstream movies shot with those types of cameras will be shorter to nonexistant.

According to imdb Rachel Getting Married was shot with the Sony HDW-F900R (CineAlta). Slumdog was shot with a bunch of different things, including the SI-2K.

Worth noting that only half of Grindhouse was shot in HD. Death Proof was shot on 35MM. I thought it was kind of an odd choice shooting Planet Terror on HD, though I suppose it had a lot of CG anyways. I mean, I know Rodriguez loves them HD cameras, but when you're going for a 70s grindhouse kind of feel, shouldn't you shoot on film stock? Maybe even 16MM? I dunno...

BTW, did you hear what long time film veteran Sydney Lumet said about shooting HD, after making Before the Devil Knows Your Dead? I remember him calling film a pain in the ass.
