What cable brand between these two?

I need a 6' to 10' male RCA to male XLR to connect my cheap Tascam mixer to my Monitors. I know this is unbalanced but that's all I have coming out of my mixer.

I was told to stay under 50' by Coffey and under 20' by B&H for safety.

I am going with either a 6' which should be all I need or 10' so I can have slack to place my Mixer anywhere on the table.

I could have custom cables made at either Location Sound or Coffey but they would e about $30.

B&H have two different 10' cables for about $10 each, but I don't know the companies: Hosa or Comprehensive. Which one should I trust?

Hosa 10' male RCA to male XLR

Comprehensive 10' male RCA to male XLR

I know I should get a better mixer with XLR outs but till I can afford one this what I will have to use and since I might use these at some point in the future for some random situation I might as well get ok ones.

hehehehe... I was suspecting they might
I had never heard of them...

Should I bother with custom cables for $30 each since they are unbalanced and so short anyway?

Hey Astronaut! How's the deep cosmos doing?

I think they might be TRS inputs which are balanced right?

I am going to use the XLR inputs but unfortunately I only have RCA outs on my mixer. Eventually XLR to XLR I hope as I would LOVE to get a control surface for Vegas :D there is a cheap one for $100.... but I got enough going on right now to think about this.

But... do you have the speakers yet? Aren't they Event TRs of some sort? Most of those have XLR, TRS, TS, and RCA ins... if so, just go RCA-RCA.

(Every time I try to watch those DVDs, some weird signal interference just puts a trippy video game on my screen - lots of cgaracters and lines and arrows, but no-one ever shoots! Shoot me an address if you want Dexter...)

No, not till Friday probably... it is KILLING me.... the seller had a wedding that delayed the process.

I am getting Event 20/20's which as far as I know and was told only have XLR and TRS inputs... All I want is the XLR... but I am limited by my mixer. But like you said, if they had RCA I'd probably be using that till I got a better mixer. However I am positive they don't. You can see the back panels if you look in Ebay. Make sure it is a powered Version 1... (it won't say V2 in the single back panel, V2's have a big 'ol V2 on both back panels)

About the DVDs, yea the dude messed them up royally... you will have to find a different player that won't have the problems... I couldn't play them on my last install in my laptop, but they were fine in my old DVD player, then they were ok but had some problems in the desktop with Inter Video... just try different players, that's all. Feel free to call him and ask him about it. He is aware of this problem though will probably down-play it a little :) .
