what brand xlr cable do you reccommend?

i need to pick up some cable. what brand and length do you prefer?

MattinSTL sells some "Musilux" that is supposed to be the best at its pricepoint. I don't know if you could still get it from him though.

I PMed him about selling me some, and I don't remember his reason exactly but he told me just to go ahead and get some Star Quad.

I have always had the best luck when I make my own, but I am somewhat nerdy on that front. Mine are 25' cords with Neutrik gold plated ends (corrosive west texas atmosphere corrodes the nickel plated ends in about 3 years) I will only use Belden or Canary cable. Belden is what I use more often than not because I can get it locally in a pinch.

You may want to check out markertek.com for a good price on the cable you want. Look at Belden 1800F, Belden 8412, Canare L4E6S, or Gotham GAC-3)
