What are you reading Thread?

I had to try this book three times before it took. But then I tore through it and it's one of my all time favorites, along with House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski.

I'm currently reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Totally different than what I expected, but still a long way to go.

I'm reading Girl with the Dragon Tattoo also. They were showing the Swedish films of this series locally a month ago, but unfortunately I missed them.

After a two year book hiatus (haven't had time while MARIANNE has been made) I've finally gotten into doing time lapses.

That means time to read. So I brought Fight Club with me in the car and started going through that again. I've probably read it like three times or so before, but it's still good.

I wanted to find American Psycho but I must have missplaced it somewhere.

I cleaned my room out yesterday and found an old book. I'm pretty sure my cousin gave it to me last time he was here. Which probably means it's pretty good.
It's called 'City of Fear" by Alafair Burke. From the UK I believe. It's pretty dusty but jeez, I should probably read it. He knows his books.

^Origami + Beer. Hey Pook. Just to be totally off topic 'cause I don't give a poo poo, I had to model a paper airplane once for a 3D animated short. That failed ofcourse but this was the model I based mine off of...

my model based on that (hehe)...

I thought it was very interesting. I downloaded the instructions also on how to build it yourself. I thought if I learned how to make it myself I could build it in 3D more easily.

I only got up to step 5 or 6 or so and got stuck. I asked everyone I knew if they could help me origami this thing, and everyone looked at me like I was from a different planet.
I even asked here at dvxuser I believe and 'nothing!'

Anyways, here's the instructions, I think, if not, let me know, I have them somewhere archived->step by step, but the words are in Japanese I think, Oriental anyways.
Propeller plane by Miyajima Noboru

If anyone can make this airplane with paper, let me know. I'm stuck in a couple parts.

And here's a couple more random picks I found while looking for the airplane one, just because I forgot I had them.

Gord: There's only a link to an out of print book there.

Some other nice origami as well though.

I bet Rick Deckard would be shitting himself if he found THIS outside his door...

Oh jeez, I didn't know anyone did this stuff. Did you need the diagrams for the model I posted? I have them somewhere I can dig out tomorrow, no problemo.
Man, I would love to figure that plane out. I just get stuck in the one part and then it's impossible to go on after that.

Yeah, I'm just crashing out right now but tomorrow I'm down. Either give me a shout or I'll give yout one.

-See ya tomorrow for sure.

//yeah, I have the original prints for that airplane I posted. I'll get those over to you. Manyana man.

^Okay. Here's the original diagrams for the plane model. If anyone has any success at this, please post somewhere and let me know.
I'll keep these up until I get a complaint.
