what are these called?

[totalfilmmaker]

I know this is stage lighting but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what these dimmable light racks are officially called. Is is reasonable to make something like this from the halogen lights from HomeDepot or Lowes?

Thanks,

look like 9 lights to me, put some FEY lamps in there and you have the poor man's HMI

The classic name is "audience blinders" and they come in different sizes although 9 lights isn't very common (4 or 8 per fixture are far more common):

They usually use par 36 lamps but can even be found in LED types these days.

They could also be some kind of molepars.
