What are the best filter companies?

I am looking to buy some filters, mainly a uv filter and I was wondering what the best companies (for the dvx) are.

Also, I am looking to put a permanent uv filter on and was looking at the Hoya Haze/UV filter (multi-coated) from B&H. Is that a good brand?

Formatts are very nice but a little expensive, Schneider Optics are very good, and tiffen is a standard. For UV's.. get a multicoated, and the Hoya is a good choice.
