What are some crowdfunding marketing services that are good to use for when crowdfunding a film project?

Crowdfunding is not inherently 'good or bad'. How you package your project will matter most, and there are still no guarantees you will raise the monies needed, or come even close. Put your focus on convincing the 'crowd' your project is worth the bucks, whether or not there is a return on it. You need to put together a media package of sorts, which will take time and likely some investment. Which crowdfunding service you choose matters far less than what you put out there to attract interest.

Oh, and have a bonafide editor fine-tune any pitches, and general information added to support your visual media. Your command of language is sketchy, and that will throw up a red flag. You MUST communicate your project with clarity and efficiency.

One major point:
Kickstarter - if you don't hit your goal, you don't get ANY of the money.
Indie-gogo - You get however much money came in.

Also, if you want to take donations that are tax deductible for your donors then Fractured Atlas and Indie Go Go are part of the same organization. You use Fractured Atlas as a 501c3 umbrella organization and the Indie Go Go donations go right into that account. I've done that for shorts because there little chance of return. At least your donors get a tax deduction and that can help with your pitch.

A google search pulled up a good amount of them when I checked. I'd say make sure they are of course very knowledgable in marketing online with SEO, adwords, facebook ads, etc and have the data to show you were they have been effective. I've worked in marketing and advertising for years and can't tell you how many agencies just throw money at the target and hope something sticks versus coming up with specific calculated plans to identify and hit your demographic.

To echo what has already been said though make sure your content is as good as it can be. There seems to be more people begging, I mean asking for money online for film projects than there are people who are giving.

I'd say the numbers begging far outnumber those willing to part with finite cash. Having a cool script with a dream to produce it just isn't enough.

Convince and engage us.
