what are SFK files???

In my Capture folder (or anywhere I save a video used by vegas 6.0) it saves an .SFK file with the same name as the video clip. Is there a way to stop these from creating? They are really annoying and I always delete them but they just come back.

It's the Sound File "peaKs". It's a little file that Vegas uses to be able to display audio waveforms in the timeline.

When you import a file into Vegas, you can see it saying "building peaks..." and you can choose to cancel that. If you cancel it, you won't have an SFK file on your hard disk, but you also won't see the audio waveform in your timeline. The audio will be there, of course, but you won't see the graphic representation of it on the audio track.

I did not know that, thanks for clearing that up Barry.
