What am I missing here - C300 pricing

The C300 still commands a price of £10,584

Yet cameras such as the Sony FS7 are selling for £6,238

Yes the C300 is a great camera but 1080p at that price...?

You'd have to mad to buy one at this time. Lots of great cameras around for a better price, plus the C300 MKII just around the corner.

On the other hand, in a numbe of situations a producer/customer requests specifically C300 (or at least C100), therefore C300 generates more assignmets at higher rates. Am I mising something? With the C300 price, you don't buy specification.

!. C300 doesn't command higher rates.

2. Producers are already requesting HFR and 4K right across the industry from news and documentary to commercials and corporate.

3. You'd need to moneterize that investment in the C300 in about a month before second-hand prices plummet.

4. Canon have announced they will be updating the C300 in the new year.

There is a 5 & a 6, but I'll stop there and just add you don't buy on ignorance.

Thaks, Liam! I see, then if I cannot ge higher rates for C300, I am not intersted. HFR/4K are not really Canon's strong points at least not below 10000. With the C300ii rumor the C300 sales are blocked, then, I guess. I'd be very much interested in your 5 and 6 points. Take care, Miki
