I use Kessler Kwik release plates for my cameras including heavier Arri setups. I like how easily they clip in and come out. Easy to do with a 30 lb camera setup as one person. Can't say the same for other dovetail setups which often require finese to slide in with no side load option and are easier to do with two people. VCT comes in and out easily as well, but adds too much weight, height, and bulk for Steadicam.
The Kessler Kwik is nice, but I wouldn't mind something a bit beefier.
I saw this photo from a BTS of Velvet Buzzsaw. Does anyone know what that red kip hand quick release setup is? Looks like a similar design to the Kessler Kwik release but beefier. I would imagine being able to side load which is important to me.
