What adapter is this?

I ran across this pic online, but can't tell what adapter it is, or what the hell's going on with it. What's with the dials on the side? I can't quite make out what it says there either...

The dial is most likely speed control. Interesting desing. I'm going to say it's a vibrating adapter by the size. The box above the dial probably a battery compartment.

Ryan,

I followed the thread of this guy who made it DIY few years back. Can't find it but I'm pretty sure its a DIY. I remembered he posted several pics of this in different angles.

Interesting. I also assumed the dial is a speed control, but I'd LOVE to actually see the benefits and difference's of it.

I'm actually a bit surprised this thread isn't getting more responses??

From that one picture, it definitely sparked my interest, and I figured others would be intrigued too.

I'm going to try and find the site I got that picture off of and see if there's any more info...

yeah, wow....i didn't know what's what his housing looked like, but i followed that thread for a while. it's like some home made vibrating piston kind of 35mm adapter. it was your traditional leaf spings or vibrating sticks. some kind of 3 point mech where it moved it rigidly to get rid of the grain. he never really went into detail about it too much.

If you want to learn about the difference between gg speeds you need to pop on over to cinevates site or letus', because both and the brevis and the ultimate can control that.

I would imagine the speed control would have different reactions on a vibrating vs. spinning GG. IE cinevate might give you better information on the benefits since the Ultimate has a spinning GG.
