What a rude awakening

This morning around 6:30 am I was woken up by my sister panicking over a phone call. My mom had a heart attack and she was in the emergency room.

My mom is completely fine now. She didn't have any blockage or damaged arteries but she is going to be kept under supervision for a little while because she has some elevated blood. What ever that means.

The woman is tough as nails and I had wasn't too worried, I even told my sister, "Mom is a stubborn *****, something like this is not going to take her out. Everything will be ok." Regardless of my confidence it was still a little bit nerve wracking. I was incredibly happy to see her this morning awake and laughing and joking with us.

Glad she's ok! But, how is that a "rude" awakening. More like a "scary" awakening.

Update: My mom did NOT have a heart attack. Turns out she has pericarditis but she'll still be fine.

But, how is that a "rude" awakening. More like a "scary" awakening.
