I still have my great yet older, HEAVIER, 32" Samsung CRT-HDTV. I loves it, but maybe it's time to get something a bit larger for my bedroom, to go with new computer n'all.

That means I'd be opting out of a 24" Gateway and going with a 21" second monitor instead.

Really good reviews... what you guys think?
 
I love CRTs. They always seem to have better colors and much deeper contrast than the LCDs. Weight really only matters when you're moving it around, which honestly how often do you do?

So unless you really think those five extra inches are necessary, I'd stay with the CRT.

I'm actually going out shopping for a decent 30" CRT HDTV this weekend, now that you mention it...
