hmm, has anyone else here, at any point in their lives, read The DragonRiders of Pern series? There is a Red Star, that every so many turns of the planets, loose these things called "Thread" and when the thread land on the planet surface, they devour everything in its path. Can be like the threads around here...if my daughter and I didnt have the obnoxious habit of keeping food in the kitchen and gas in the cars, I'd spend all day here. It would devour my life.
