I just watched the trailer. Not bad--not great. I've never read the book. I'm extremely opposed to most of her philosophical stances (although politically we're not that far off), so I didn't think her fiction would be very entertaining for me. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would expect the story to be very pessimistic.
I hear the other two parts will come out in April of 2012 and April 2013. If I watch it, I'll probably wait until all three parts are done and just make a day of watching the movies at home.
