I'm working from home today, it's about the only GREAT thing about my job. Anyway, my son who's 4 yrs old keep bugging me to let him watch a scary movie and he came to me like 12 times with different horror movies each time so finally I said **** it, time to learn a lesson son...... hehehe

He's sitting and watching Jeepers Creepers 2 with a pillow squeezed to his chest right now...... lol

...thus begins the saga of how the infamous mass murderer of the year 2032 got his early start...

:)

dude, i saw "the exorcist" in a theater in georgetown, dc (10 blocks from the infamous "steps") when i was 10, i and still have problems keeping my eyes closed for extended periods of time. jeepers creepers, that kid's got some dream fodder now!

When my oldest daughter was about 4 or so, we used to watch this thing called "Movie Magic" all the time. It was all about the makings of all the effects of different movies. Now, nothing scares her at all. My younger daughter didnt have Movie Magic to watch so she practically screams at the top of her lungs in scarey movies. She gets scared playing Doom3.

When I was little I use to love horror flicks... even the somewhat morbid cartoon... my favorite was Watership Down. And when I was in junior high and we were reading the book, I swore to everyone that when I was about 5 or so, I had heard the story before... Well, I found the cartoon and brought it to class.... from then on everyone said they understood a little more about what was wrong with me. I say let the movies take him… he will be okay.

squeemishness is more nature than nuture. if you can watch the whole thing without one un-natural eye blink - well, kid, we think you'd make a heck of a surgeon. or a serail killer.

I saw Halloween when I was 5 years old. I think it had a big hand in making me the weird bastard that I am.

Don't you know that "bad" movies / songs / video games corrupt our culture and control people into doing horrible things? (Joking of course)

Anyway, I know it wasn't a horror flick per se, but I remember watching Jaws and having trouble swiming in the ocean afterwards ..... hopefully after he gets done watching the movie, he'll be so scared that he'll stop buggin' you about watching another one and let you get back to work. Nothin' like learning the hard way .... But on the positive side at least he'll know that you were serious when you told him that he shouldn't watch it, and maybe he'll listen to you the next time. (That could be a little hopeful as he is only 4 after all.)

I get spooked easily when it comes to dark quiet houses and the thought of ghosts,,,, i blame it on that devil movie called entity....... scared the crap outta me when i was a kid.

Bad movies don’t make me want to horrible things, they just make me want to make good movies.

By the way, bad movies do have a corrupting influence; it’s been clinically proven that excessive exposure to Gigli can cause cancer in laboratory mice.
