Well I'm waiting for a response from Letus now, but I figured I'd post it on here and see if anyone could give insight on what's wrong. Long story short, one day my adapter was making weird noises like something was loose. I discovered that two of the mirrors were loose. Stupidly, I attempted to fix them and for a short time, it seemed like I did; the picture was aligned straight and everything seemed fine. Recently, I shot a few things outdoors in really bright conditions and when i got back to capture the footage, i noticed a huge dark shadowy spot on the left side of the frame. Obviously, something went wrong when I fixed the mirrors, but does anyone have a more specific diagnosis for this? Picture below. I was shooting at a white wall with a set of work lights blasting right beside me, yet I still have that shadow area on the left.
Also, another thing I noticed that seemed weird. My infinity focus is working too close if you know what I mean. At first, the background was not in sharp focus at infinity, so I moved my ground glass back some. Now, objects that are maybe 10-15 feet away are in sharp focus at infinity, and my background is as well. So it's like my DOF is getting cut short. I am assuming my GG isn't the correct distance once again. Anyways, any suggestions are welcome, I plan on sending the unit out to be fixed, but I'm curious if anyone else has encountered these problems. Sorry for the long post
