Hi,
I'm having this really annoying problem. At my school I captured a ton of footage from DV on a few different decks over a few different days.
Half of the footage goes out of sync when I play it in FCP (6.0.1). When I open those files in QT they are fine, but in FCP they are out of sync. So I looked in my Browser to see what could be different about the clips that are fine and the clips that go out of sync. Turns out that the out of sync clips were captured on two specific days, and the working ones were on different days. Also, under the "audio" column, the out-of-sync ones say they are 2 mono tracks, as opposed to the 1 stereo for the working ones.
Remember, there is no problem at all opening these in QT. Weird!
I'm assuming there was some incorrect capture setting on the days I captured the out-of-sync clips, but I'd hate to have to recapture ours of footage.
I've tried going into Sequence Settings to fix it but haven't found something that works.
Somebody please help.
thanks,
sns
