Weird question, where to find an inferior "hitman"

How about a female(s). Two old ladies (both with bad short-term memories), a character Whoopi Goldberg could play, a Walmart greeter or a struggling screen writer?

"Last thing you need is SOF suing you for defamation, suggesting that their hitmen are second rate, or something..."

Actually, that's instant global publicity...?

Al Franken leapt to stardom when Fox News sued him for defaming their fairly unbalanced gibberish they call news. Now he's a senator. At the time they threatened to sue him, he told his lawyer, "Please let them sue me!"

I'm working out some ideas for a script that I'm writing.

In this script, a hitman is hired to do a job, but he sucks and winds up messing things up. Now, the question at hand: where would someone find a hitman of such inferior quality?

It can't be some sort of "I know a guy who knows a guy" situation or anything like that.

I was thinking maybe craigslist or like an ad from the back of a "Soldier of Fortune" magazine or something like that. But, I'm not exactly sure how that would play out. I'm not really sure if SoF has adverts like that, and I think I've seen that somewhere else before anyway. I would like my idea to be a bit more original.

If you wind up having the winning idea, you will win the awesome, grand prize of my eternal gratitude. Oh, and a special thanks credit if this thing ever gets made. ;)

not read this thread, only the first post but I have an idea (please excuse me if someone else had the same idea and posted already)

how about if the inferior hitman is his friend, the inferior hitman has never done a hit just reads soldier of fortune and dreams.
He has fallen in with bad company and they want him to do the hit.
When you say "where would someone find a hitman of such inferior quality?" I assume you mean the hero of the story? As to where would the hero meet the inferior hitman?
Well in my idea the inferior hitman would confide in the hero because he considers him a friend.
