Weird problem trying export using QT Uncompressed 10 bit

Hi,

I was experimenting last night trying to export a project that I am working on out of FCP 6.0.5 using QT uncompressed 10 bit.

The problem is that it is not exporting the entire sequence. The sequence is 9:14 min in length but it ALWAYS (after many attempts) only exports 7:24 min of the content.
It's not compressing the length of the movie, it's just cutting it off.
I even tried exporting a 2 min video using the same settings as above and it only exports 1:30 min of the sequence (every time).

I even tried exporting the sequence using Compressor at uncompressed 10 bit and I get the same result.

I can't understand why. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix for this?

(My sequence settings are NTSC DV 23.98)

Thanks.

are you in and outing your whole sequence?

are you exporting as "make qt movie" or "use qt conversion" if u've been only doing one of those, try the other.

do you have any unrendered files?

right right clicking the sequence in ur bin and exporting via like that

do you have mixed frame rates?

if you have apple color or anything like that installed, try sending it to that and see if ur whole sequence loads into color.

other work arounds... u could try turning your whole sequence into a subclip and dropping that in another timeline and try to export like that. i've never heard of this happening before, but sounds like you gotta think outside the box some more and try a lot of different things.

I edited the entire sequence and I am just exporting it out.

I was using "make qt movie". I was going to try "use qt conversion" but I was concerned that there may be other settings that needed to be changed that I don't know about.

Everything has been rendered.

I have been using just the pull down menu to access "Export".

No mixed frame rates.

I haven't tried sending it to Color.

I have tried nesting the entire sequence and exporting that but came out with the same result.

I'll try some of your suggestions and see if anything works.

Thanks.

UPDATE

I went home at lunch and tried a couple of things.

I was able to send the entire sequence to Color. That works.

Then I tried right clicking the sequence in the bin, selected "Export" "Using QT Conversion".
In the "Settings" for the video I changed the Compression Type to "Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2" and I kept the Frame Rate set at "Current"
In the "Size" window I changed the Dimensions from "Compressor native (637x477)" to "Current".
I exported that and it worked!

One thing that I wasn't sure about in changing some of those settings is should I have switched the Dimensions from "Compressor native" to "Current"?

Before I left to come back to work I tried right-clicking the sequence in the bin and selecting "Export" and "QT Movie" with it is set at "Uncompressed 10 bit". I will see when I get home if that worked.

Still cannot export the full sequence "QuickTime Movie" with a setting at uncompressed 10 bit.

No idea why?!

I know this sounds stupid and I'm sure you checked already, but do you have an out point you haven't cleared? It is only thing I can think of that would keep killing the export at the same time point but not effect the transfer to color. Hit option+o and see if that clears it up.

Yes, I checked and cleared for any possible out points. I even created an out at the end of the sequence but it still didn't solve the problem.
