Weird glitch in FCP 7

Just came across this for the first time.

I had several video tracks on top of each other.
In order to clean up the timeline, I deleted unused tracks.
When I went back to playing the timeline, there were two adjoining clips that seemed to have another track playing above them, but strangely, there were no clips in the tracks above them.
So I tried going back to original clip in the viewer and re-imported both onto the timeline again, replacing the clips that were there. And the strange thing is they still played as if there were video tracks above them.

Anyone come across this or know how to fix?

I'm sure Apple will issue an update... err... maybe not...

I doubt doing anythiing to the REMAINING clips will solve this glitch. My suggestion would be to go to an old version of the project, and DELTE THE CLIPS in the tracks you plan to delete, before deleting the tracks. And, rather than deleting unused tracks, just drag everything down to where you want it....
