Weird Color issue

Not sure if this a FCP question or something I should ask in the DVX forums. I just did a shoot 2 weeks ago with 2 DVX cameras. Both were white balanced before the show began. Now I am editing a rough cut. The performers were wearing purple dresses. The footage from my close up camera looks correct (purple dresses) however my wide shot camera, their dresses look blue on the screen! I am sure I can color correct that to get it to match the other camera. Just thought it was odd how both cameras were white balanced at the same time with the same white banner we had the cameras pointed towards.

Ive been having this issue with my HMC150, for some reason, even when white balanced correctly, every color is its appropriate color, yet purple shows up blue

Well I hired my friend to be a 2nd camera operator my shoot and I think his Master Pedestal settings were on the blue side of the range. I didn't think to go into his settings on his camera the day of the shoot but I should have to make sure both cameras matched! So now I am going to have a lot of color correcting to do.

Also, in my experience, color rendition seems to vary a lot with exposure changes... so ideally you'll have the cameras, regardless of framing, have the same exposure (iris) settings as well. Once I started making sure that was the case (not too difficult in my situation, but certainly not easy in others), my whole color matching process became an order of magnitude easier.
