Weird Audio Lagging Problem

Hey guys,
So I shot a music festival here in LA this last weekend and after bringing the clips into fcp the audio is off-sync, even though it says it is in sync. Here's an example of what's going on:

It's not that far off, but it's off. Pretty annoying, needless to say!

Soooo.. What the hell is up?
Any one have or had the same problem?

I used used the on-board mic to save time and because of practicality, and it really sounds crappy! It pops, it's been hard to mix right, it just doesn't professional in anyway...

During the FCP Log and Transfer from the P2 Image, are you capturing Audio and Video Separately?
Or Jointly?

Check your settings in your camera and make sure that the audio is set at 16 bit sampling and not 12 bit. I ran into this issue with the Canon XL1 a long time ago. The audio would come out of sync and the worst part is that it wasn't out of sync 10 frames. It would gradually increase so you'd have to keep pulling it back in sync. Are you having that issue or is it just out of sync the same amount of frames throughout all of your footage?

Hey,

I have had the same problem chronically with Toast. Tech support offered no resolution. I had to make a permanent switch to FCP Log & Transfer to Pro Res HQ. No serious problems so far. Good luck.
