Weird audio issue on import?

Maybe it's not FCP, as it seems to be doing this on my import camera, as well (a cheap little miniDV camera, the audio cuts out and comes back).

What is causing this? What can I do? This is a wedding video, and fairly important. I used the internal mic on the camera, so it's now an issue with the audio equipment.

Did you hear this audio when you were filming? Make sure your sample rate matches when you are editing.
