Does anyone have any good wedding videos they shot with the dvx they would like to share? Any ideas on what the best settings are to use?

You can check this out

This is a wedding demo I just made. But, sorry to say, the only shot from the DVX is the shot of the Dafodils with the wedding dress hung up behind it. I shot most of this footage before I got my DVX. I was using the JVC DV500 for this wedding. Let me know what you think. Let me know if you have any more questions. 8)

Re: wedding videos.

I just learned how to do that. I do it in FCP. I used the 3 way color corrector. It has a color limit effect. What NLE are you using?

Re: wedding videos.

vegas 4.0 and premiere. I really like that effect. I have my first wedding to shoot with my dvx coming up. How do you like the dvx compared to the dv500? The dv500 is a consumer mini dv isn't it? I will bet this is a big jump in features and quality.

Re: wedding videos.

your right, the GR-DV500 is the consumer one. The GY-DV500 is the pro line 1/2 chip.
thanks

Re: wedding videos.

So far, so good. I've had a number of other projects get in the way of finishing it, but it's coming out OK. I'm doing it in a sort of a 1930s Bogie movie style.

I'll post some footage . . . eventually . . .

Re: wedding videos.

David, you say it is OK? Did you shoot it with the DVX? Tell us more about your expereince. 8)

Label everything ahead of time. Don't be afraid to throw elbows when the photographer blocks your shot.
