Wedding Show?

Hey everyone,

I've been thinking of renting a booth at a local wedding show in January. I have a photographer that has asked to split the booth with me and I was just wondering what everyone's experiences have been with this.

First off, is it a good idea to split a booth with a photographer and offer a package deal? I'm sure that way we both get consistent work, but will the price of our packages be a deterrent?

I'm just trying to think of the most appealing way to do this and if its going to be worth the time to be a vendor at one of these shows. It is rather big and well known, so that is a strong motivating factor.

Thoughts?

You would save some money on the booth. Plus you can offer different packages. video only. Photo only or a package deal. You can still make about the same amount of money.

Thanks. Booths are rather expensive (around $2000), for the 3 day event. I think it'll be worth it and will pay for itself if I even get only two weddings or so.

It asks for one company's name on the booth though. I don't know if they would encourage company's splitting a booth, so I'll have to discuss this with the photographer. Also, does anybody know an average number of weddings booked by going to one of these shows?

What kind of things should I have? I was thinking of having screens setup to show off both video and photo (on two different screens of course), just to attract people. I've never setup a booth in one of these shows before, so any advice on what I should have at the table?

Thanks,

Kegan
