Wedding lav?

I'm sorry if this is an over-discussed topic, but all the info I've found on a decent wireless lav is outdated.
I'll be shooting a wedding at the end of this month and would like a good set or even one good wireless lav to grab the vows. I'll be using both the XHA1 and 7d. Any point in a good direction would be much appreciated.
Has anyone used the Audio Technica Pro88-R35? Thanks,
Than

The stickies at the top of this page are not out of date. Most folks here favor Sanken COS-11 and various Countryman for lavs, though Tram and AT have their fans also. Most here favor Sennheiser G2 or G3 for the least expensive acceptable wireless. I use G2s and they are fine if you don't push them too hard. With any wireless, cell phone interference can be a problem, so make sure the folks closest to bride have theirs OFF.

As a general rule, if it says 'pro' anywhere on the gear, it's almost certainly not professional grade gear.

Any other cheap lavs that will do the job? I'm not sure how much I'll be using them. I can usually plug straight into a board via XLR so I'd rather not drop a lot of cash on something I'll use a couple times.

Well there's cheap lavs out there, but you really do get what you pay for. The Sanken and Countryman lavs are a larger up front investment, but the results are phenomenal.
But, in the interest of mentioning it, there's the Sennheiser ME2 (the included lav in their wireless systems, typically a throw-away for people who upgrade to the aforementioned brands, but I'd put it about the Audio Technica you mentioned.)
In case you haven't come across the 7D threads, don't put your audio into that camera! Record into your XH-A1 and run all the audio that way. IMHO

hi,

this will be my first post.... my english isnt perfect ;)

i bought a set of those Audio Technica Pro88 with lav long time ago... cause they have been cheap... but actually i wasn't satifsfied so they get sold very quick.

Now i'm using the Sennheiser G2 for a about 2 years...
But even the included ME2 Microphone wasnt great in my ears... so i sold the ME2 and bought a seperate ME102 + the needed cable to connect with the G2. Thats not cheap but gives you a noticable improvement in quality.

I also own a Tram TR-50 for use with the G2 System if there is need to wear the lav underneath clothes..

In my opinion it will depends on the use... I'm not sure if you need Lavs for a wedding at all. I mainly use a shotgun for wedding-purpose

I have a friend who heads the video dept at a local college and has been running into lots of fuzz (even with their higher end lavs). I have yet to complain with my NTG-1. 85mk7, how have you setup a shotgun for a wedding shoot?
