This is my humble place on the web. I just updated the content of the site.

If anyone drops by, lemme know what you think of it. I still have more to put up about my current production. But I just wanted to get it out there..

We're sorry, but we can't find the HomePage you've requested. It's possible that:

°  The address was entered incorrectly. Check your spelling and try again.

°  The .Mac member of this name has either created a page and removed it or has never published a HomePage.

°  There is no .Mac member of this name. If you'd like this member name for yourself, sign up for a .Mac account right now and have your own HomePage in minutes.

Re: Website

I can't see anything in the masthead. It's all black. And the links don't show up unless I highlight that section. Strange. Is anybody else having a problem in IE?

Here's the problem:

<body bgcolor="#999999" text="#000000" link="#000000" vlink="#990000" alink="#33CC00">
<table width="720" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="1" bgcolor="#000000" align="center">

The bgcolor is the same as the text and link colors once it gets into the table.

Re: Website

I'm using firefox, but I just fired up Internet Explorer and I see what you mean with the black banner on top. It shouldn't look like that. Don't know why...

Re: Website

IE is... and always has been a pile of crap..

it has this lovely feature where it doesn't like to display the background image of a table cell..

I call this a bug in IE.. but I guess it is one of those odd features MS put in..

I can't believe the Windows version still has this problem.. I thought it was only the mac version which hasn't been updated in ages...

friggin IE.. that browser so be banned... I have never wanted a physical manifestation of a program so much.. just so I could toss it in a pile and burn it... Cell image backgrounds is a feature that I do believe is supported standard HTML...yar

hmmm.. I will see what I can do..

update: Firefox, Camino, Safari all display it properly...Mac IE still has problems.

Re: Website

IE still has 90% of the market so you definitely want to fix it ;D Granted their market share is slipping. But Microsoft will never let it fall below 50%.

Ummm....no. Background images in cells is not part of the HTML spec.

People should be using CSS, too. :)

Re: Website

hmm.. guess it ain't. owell I thought it was.. been long time since I did any reading on the subject..

ironic that IE is the only browser that seems to not support it..

90% of the market share means little when only about 0.005% are ever gonna visit my site ;)

I will put up an IE compatible site when hell freezes over! muahahaa...

I'll get to work on it asap... :-/

Re: Website

See, the thing is, I sit here and design a page using HTML 4.01 & CSS and it looks great, passes all the validation, tickles me pink.

Then I open it in Opera. Or Mozilla. And what the heck? Why dose the page look like a three-year-old made, rather than a seven-year-old? Since when does MS follow specs and the rest don't. That's just plain wrong. Bill must have been on vacation that week... :)
