Website video player

I'm rebuilding my video business website, and I'm looking for a video player app to imbed (instead of using YouTube or vim) that doesn't use or at least require flash, so I can stay compatible with the Apple stuff as well.

Anybody doing this? Are you running something on your site I can look at?

Try a Flash-fallback option.

JWPlayer's HTML5 Beta player, which attempts to use HTML5 playback when possible, can also fallback to Flash when necessary. If you use H.264, you can use a single video file to cover both mediums.

The problem with JWPlayer is that it's expensive.
H.264 is getting closer to being royalty free forever so it might actually make it into the HTML5 spec (and, with that, into Firefox, it's already available in Safari and Chrome). In that case, HTML5 will probably be a good way forward, you will be able to make an H.264 file and then just embed it with <video> tags in the same way that images are currently used on websites.

We're trying to make the JWPlayer work, having problems with IE, but it works on the iPad just fine.

I can't believe there aren't more options out there. I can't have an event video site (weddings, etc.) that you can't see the sample videos on. And yes, it will be a commercial application, so I do intend to purchase software. Maybe I'll look at some other wedvid sites.
