I'm looking to build a website for my freelance work.
I want to be able to put up several different types of streaming video, one for each type of video I shoot...
commercials/tabletop/corporate

My question is ... what kind of a web host service do I need? Is something like Godaddy enough for video?
Do I need the premium service with 200GB of storage and 2000TB of transfer?
Is there some sort of norm for posting reels to a website?
What is everyone out there using?

I'm using GoDaddy's Deluxe hosting package. 100gb storage, 1000tb of transfer and running several domains off of it as well as several streaming media clips. The sites do a combined 2500+ hits a month and I never had a problem.

Wouldn't suggest going crazy off the bat - track your traffic (www.statcounter.com) and adjust your hosting package based on that.
 
I'm also looking into web hosting... so it will be interesting to see what everyone uses.

I'm curious if anyone has any experience with these guys as their deal seems so much better than everyone elses. It usually fires off red flags when someone is offering so much more for so much less.
I see they haven't yet been rated at Bizrate.com.
I always say go with what you know, yet it's always so tempting to think about the great deals.
I guess when it comes to something so important, you shouldn't take unnecessary risks.
I went with a local authorized dealer and paid extra just for the comfort of having someone local to talk to if anything went wrong when it came to my video and gear, so...
thoughts?

Haha, no problem. Happens to us all - at least you attempted to search. A lot better than some of the users, who don't search at all. The search engine is just difficult sometimes if you can't quite think of the correct keyword.

I have a site on these guys. I can tell you that so far, the experience rocks. I love their control panel, especially the file manager. I'll be migrating **MY** site over there as soon as my current hosting expires.
