Hey fellas,
Workin on creating on site for myself

any suggestions on what kind of info and pages i should have....

It should answer all the BIG questions, like....why are we here? Is there really a God? If so, which religion is right? What existed immediately before all existence came into being, and if anything, how did it exist without existing existing? If God were all powerful, could he/she/it create a rock that was so heavy that he/she/it couldn't even pick it up?

haha.....

ass...

..jk

im just lookin for some one ups...its hard to find some decent vp sites to get an idea of what everyone is doin out there, most sites are pretty bogus...

Just think in this way: for whom you are going to create it? And also: why do you need it at all?

Thats what I'm sayin....you're throwing it out there pretty vaguely....you've given us zero info on what your intentions are with your site. Is it going to be an Anti Wal Mart info site, or a tribute to Keith Richards's butt nuggets? Give us something to go on here! If you're going to create a website, you're definately going to need to brush up on your information giving skills! If your post is an example, then your site is going to be like a single page that says "here is my website, hope you like it!"...like, literally!

well this is mainly a video site correct me if im wrong, but the majority of the people around this forum are doing some kind of industry work, you need to settle down, befor i crap on your porch.....

That was beautiful! So what kind of video work are you talkin, like, general videography...for a local business, or more along the lines of peddling indie flicks?

hehe i try....

yeah man its just gonna be a basic multimedia design, you know websites/videos/interactive cds/dvd/duplication not really any corporate things...

its hard for me to set my target audience, i have a suffient amount of work under my belt, im just havin some trouble gettin things goin for this site....a psuedo writers block if you will.....

and ps. ive had my keith richards butt nugget site up for years...its on googles top 10 list and it has won numerous awards....

well as for pages i think bio, portfolio, and contact info to start. Specify your location if you are going to concentrate on local clients.

back to portfolio, you could have one page that links to the varying mediums websites/videos/interactive cds/dvd/duplication

I've seen some sites that describe their equipment (some in detail and some a bit general). I presume this if for more sophisticated clients who want to know you have the resources to meet deadlines.

I also saw a site that had pics of their office (but this was for a business that met with clients at their office)

Also if big projects come along I've seen them list or at least mention that they have networks for outsourcing if needed.
