Webpage Capture Tool // Screen Video Capture Tool Recommendations

Hi There,

I'm putting together a launch video for a startup web company and I need to capture in HD 24p (or higher) video of me using the computer. With so many software options out there I'm not sure where to start. Also I'm in need of figuring out what to use to capture an entire web page without scrolling through the whole thing and capturing each piece. Any suggestions, guys?

You could try camstudio, free?. (2 seperate links there) I've used it the past but had some problems with audio syncing up over time over 10 minutes. Possibly due to my PC at the time. Others have had no problems.
I found it easy to use, no learning curve, ect.

Oh, if you mean that as a subset of your original question of capturing screens as opposed to capturing entire web sites, such as dvxuser, yes you can do that too.

Yes , camstudio works great and is free. Another one is camtasia studio (not free)

There maybe some free software on sourceforge as well , but I don't know how well they work. Search for "web spiders"

I would also suggest iShowU HD Pro. It's not free but there is a free trail for the program. As the name entails, it will record up to a resolution of 1920 x 1080 so the definition is crisp and clean. Personally, I have never used the other pieces of software that were previously recommend, nonetheless, I think that if you try iShowU, you won't be disappointed. In regards to being able to show your whole screen without having to scroll down, you could always shrink your screen manually with your keyboard and record from there. Not sure if smaller text etc. would cause any illegibility but at 1920 x 1080 I'm sure you won't have a problem.
