Webcasting conference

[jimstamos]

I am shooting a speaker at a convention and the company that hired me wants to be able to have those that could not attend to be able to watch it live on their website.
what is involved for me to do this and what outside companies handle this. I have no clue where to start. If you know who I need to call to get this rolling , it would be appreciated

We use Webex...http://www.webex.com/
This has been great so far and they come down to make sure you are set up correctly. It can be hooked up to any camera using something like Dazzle which is what we use when we use a small camera. We also have a sony conference cam with all the bells and whistles thats hooked up to the network that can track someones face the whole time. We never had any glitches with this.

Windows Media Encoder is your FREE new best friend, I use it for live gamecasts all the time at www.egln.net . You will need a web server running windows 2003 To configure it right, buts its definatly the way to go.
