Web Series Idea

I'm not sure if this goes here, but I have an idea for a Web Series that is about a guy who becomes an anti-hero after the death of his wife and son along the way he saves a 13 year old runaway boy who is really smart because he's a Meta-human or Mutant depending if I set it in the DC Universe or the Marvel Universe(TV & Movie). So I'm looking for actors/actresses, screenwriters, Camera crews, editors, and every other position needed to make movie or TV show. I will also make a back stories for the two main characters Officer Jermaine Franklin(Protagonist) and Danial "Dove" Stevenson(Antagonist) so people can understand what happen between the two of them as well as get to know them.

First off, 'fan films' are not copyright friendly. It might be fine, but it depends on the franchise; you'll have to research that to see how the company feels about the topic and how they handle it. Second, you don't need those things. You just need help writing. Help because you should be primary on that. There's no reason to recruit a crew until you have a series of scripts. Lastly, there's no indication in this post of where you are, what your experience is or anything else that would get anyone helpful to respond.

It's an original idea I did model the hero character after the Punisher, but the over all story will be original

Based on "The Punisher" character, and either set in the DC Universe or Marvel Universe, but overall it's an original story?

Agafilm is right on all counts.

The main character is based off of The Punisher, but it's not a "Fan Film" of the Punisher. The main story is that the main character was a cop who uncovered that the main antagonist has murdered people, kidnapped people, extorted politicians, etc... When the antagonist found out he tired to have the chief of police get him to drop the case, but when he didn't and kept on looking into it so the main antagonist sent a gang to the main character's house and tried to kill him the gang was only able to kill his wife and son after which he argued with the Chief of Police that the main antagonist set it up and he was fired because he tried to take matters into his own hands

This sounds like your standard 'Vigilante Cop' theme, of which there have been many successful takes over the years, and going back decades ('G Men', 1935). 'Hard to Kill' , 1990, also had the Protag's family snuffed, so I think it is a safe direction to go. Maybe your pitch can include 'It's like The Punisher meets ..... ' .

Yes... it sounds like there's no reason to set this in any given 'universe' but your own. Regardless, the most important thing to take from my post is this: you've already found one of your key crew members. You're the screenwriter. If not, you aren't bringing anything to the table.

I'm still working on the basic story for it, but when I write it up I'll post it here. Also I write short stories and mostly in the form of dialogs.

Also I don't want to set it in either the DC or Marvel Universe, but write it in a way so people who watch the show could drop it into one of them and it would fit perfectly as if it was apart of it.

If I decide to film it I will be doing so in the state of Massachusetts in the Boston area and the Blue Hills area as well as the Berkshire area if I need to film in a more remote area. Just it will mostly be in the City of Boston or in Brockton where I live.

Well, get something written before you ever worry about crew or cast.

I would only need one other scriptwriter as I plan on writing the script myself, but as I have never written a script before and I'll be starting on the basic story tomorrow then after some feedback I will start the script for episode one though I was thinking of doing something different with this as I want to make a movie series with four movies a season and then move onto the next season if it has the fanbase. If not I can say I tried and it adds to my resume as a writer/director

I was wondering on what should call the series I was leaning towards "Vengeance" or "Chronicles of Justice". I don't know which one I should pick or which one is more appealing and marketable as I want to sell merchandise with it as well and I have to brand the name with a copyright.

Also I have no idea how to write a screenplay I write short stories, but when it comes to writing a screenplay I'm still new at it. I also want to direct it myself and I don't think I can do both the writing and directing myself so I decided that I'm just going to let someone else who knows how to write screenplays work on the screenplay. I have also decided that the show will be filmed in and around Boston, Massachusetts as I live in Brockton, Massachusetts. I will look for screenplay writers who live in Massachusetts to work with me then once the screenplay is done I will start looking for a crew.
